Ours was truly a meeting of chance,
At first you were reluctant to do my dance.
Apprehensive of romance.

Three months later,
We have made steady progress,
We have gotten along well more or less.

Now that you are in another part of the world,
I feel as though I have lost you in a sense.
9 hours ahead,
As soon as I rise,
You are off to bed,
So how then,
Are we supposed to talk?
This is a different temporary walk,
But this walk is the longest block.
The weak would be shocked.

And indeed, this is the greatest test of our bond.
I will stay strong,
In your prolonged,
